MACON, Ga. – Lipscomb outside hitter Lauren Anderson collected her first career Atlantic Sun Freshman of the Week honors as announced Monday morning by the league office.
Anderson hit .545 in conference play this past week, while only committing two errors in wins over Stetson and FGCU on 33 attempts.
She finished with 11 kills in the win over the Hatters and nine against FGCU. Anderson also played solid defensively, averaging 2.00 digs per set. Her .500 hitting percentage vs. Stetson and .615 against FGCU set career-highs for Anderson in back-to-back matches.
Anderson, from Mackinaw, Illinois, averaged 3.33 kills per set in two conference wins for Bisons last week. She collected 11 kills against Stetson and added nine kills in a win over FGCU. Anderson added 14 digs, one block and one assist in the two A-Sun wins for Lipscomb.
