Ostrom earns first career volleyball A-Sun POTW

MACON, Ga. - Lipscomb's Kayla Ostrom was named the Atlantic Sun Volleyball Player of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday

Ostrom collects her first career A-Sun weekly award after guiding the Bisons to a 2-0 weekend and at least a share of the regular season title.

She tallied 41 assists to open her weekend in a 3-0 sweep of Jacksonville. In the second match, also a 3-0 sweep, Ostrom dished out 35 assists against North Florida to finish with 76 assists on the weekend.

Ostrom completed the weekend with an impressive 12.67 assists per set mark.

She also broke through the 1,200 assists barrier for the season with her performance.  She is the first A-Sun setter to surpass that mark this season.

In addition she added 10 digs and three blocks combined.

Ostrom, a junior from Lafayette, Indiana, has been in the top 10 nationally in assists and assists per set all season.
