MACON, Ga. – The Atlantic Sun office has announced Lipscomb's Brittany Thomas and Kennesaw State’s Anaiah Boyer shared the Defensive Player of the Week honor. It's the first career weekly honor for both.
Thomas was a defensive force for the Bisons in both wins this weekend. She started the weekend with 16 digs against Jacksonville, and then followed that up with 20 in the win over North Florida.
Her 6.00 digs per set average was the best across the conference this weekend.
She helped the Bisons to a pair of sweeps, and even contributed four combined assists on the offensive end.
Thomas, a sophomore libero from Overland Park, Kansas, has nine matches with 20 or more digs this season.
