Volunteer Assistant Coach
Christina Key enters her first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Lipscomb volleyball team.
Key played as an opposite hitter at Brigham Young University from 2007-10. During her freshman season, the BYU women’s volleyball team made it to the Elite 8 before losing to top-ranked Penn State, who went on to win the NCAA Championship.
In her junior season, Key ranked second in the Mountain West Conference in blocks per set with 1.37 in league play.
In the last week of her senior season, Key was named the Mountain West Conference Player of the Week honor and recorded, on two separate occasions, a season-high .455 hitting percentage.
Since graduating from BYU in 2010, Key was an assistant coach at Lehi High School and finished second in the state in 2011. She also coached club for two seasons in 2011 and 2012, finishing with only one loss during the 2011 season.
Key graduated from BYU with a Bachelors of Science and is enrolled in the Lipscomb College of Pharmacy.
Married to Joshua Key, the couple resides in Madison.
