With only 20 days until the first exhibition game against Freed Hardeman and just under a month until the regular season opener at home on November 13 versus Loyola (MD), the Lipscomb women’s basketball team started practice this week with plenty of excitement for the upcoming season.
The Lipscomb women’s basketball team announced the promotion of Clay Crothers to assistant coach. Crothers, who has been a part of the Lady Bisons’ staff for the past two seasons, is familiar with the Lipscomb community having attended both Lipscomb Academy and Lipscomb University.
Women's basketball head coach Greg Brown will be speaking at the Southeast Tennessee Coaches Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 5th. The clinic is presented by Rick Torbett and the Better Basketball Family.
The women’s basketball team was surprised with a Navy SEAL-inspired, team building session on Friday afternoon. Stonewall Solutions, a company run by former Navy SEALs, help high school, college and professional teams.
Incoming Lipscomb freshman Jessica Davies’ summer basketball experience differed from the typical summer workouts. Instead of participating in 2-on-1 drills, Davies was busy suiting up for the U18 England women’s national basketball team for the FIBA U18 European Championship.
