Lipscomb's Lady Bisons received their first ever vote for the USA Today/ESPN/WBCA TDivision I Top 25 Coaches Poll released Tuesday.

The Lady Bisons are 8-3 overall this season, 5-0 in the Atlantic Sun. They have a 10-game home winning streak, and a nine-game Atlantic Sun winning streak.

"It is great to be recognized in this way," said Lipscomb coach Frank Bennett. "It is a milestone for us to get our first top 25 vote. This shows that we can compete at this level. We would like to build on that."

The Lady Bisons 10-game home winning streak is tied with Kentucky for the fifth longest in NCAA Division I.

Lipscomb senior wing player Courtney Boynton, twice named Atlantic Sun Player of the Week this season, was also considered for player of the month by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Boynton is the first Lipscomb player to be considered for the honor. In order to qualify she had to be nominated by the Atlantic Sun Conference.

"Courtney's has played well," Bennett said. "To have her be mentioned for the monthly award is great."

The Lady Bisons are also 91st in the WBCA/Summerville RPI this week. They were 88th the previous week,
