If it's Monday then the Lady Bisons must be playing their third game in four days.
After opening the season with a 77-39 loss to Arkansas Friday night at Allen Arena, the Lady Bisons traveled to Evansville, Ind., Sunday night where they lost to the Lady Aces 76-53.
Monday night at 7 the Lady Bisons are back in Allen Arena to face Fisk University.
In the loss to Evansville center Penny Jones stepped up to score a game-leading 17 points and a game-high seven rebounds. Jones was 5-of-6 from the field and 7-of-9 from the free throw line.
Tiffany Arnold added 10 points and six rebounds.
Turnovers proved to be a problem for the Lady Bisons. They made 31 compared to 17 for Evansville which produced 28 points off of turnovers. The Lady Aces also recorded 18 steals.
The Lady Bisons shot 16-of-44 from the field for 36.4 percent. They were 6-of-19 from 3-point range for a 31.6 percent success rate. Dana Carrigan hit 3-of-9 3-pointers.
At the line the Lady Bisons hit 15-of-22 attempts for a 68.2 percent.
Evansville placed four players in double figures. Robyn Jennings led with 14 points. Rebekah Parker added 12. Anaris Sickles finished with 11. Courtney Felke tossed in 10.
Evansville hit 43.5 percent from the field, 26.7 from 3-point range and 78.5 percent from the free throw line.
Tal Milchan led Evansville with six rebounds.
Evansville held a 38-33 advantage on the boards.
