Lady Bisons honor four on Senior Night

The Lipscomb Lady Bisons honored four players on "Senior Night" Saturday night at Allen Arena.

Profiles on the four are:

No. 10 Dana Carrigan. A native of Hendersonville, Tenn., Dana is the daughter of Donna and Ronnie Carrigan. Playing at a guard position Dana, a fifth-year player, is known for her ability to hit shots consistently from 3-point range. She will finish her career as one of the top 10 scorers in the history of the program in the NCAA era. She is also in the top 10 in career rebounds with 263 and second all-time in assists with 272. She scored a career-high 21 points during the 2006-2007 season at ETSU. Dana's 83.3 percent shooting from 3-point range in a game with Mercer during the 2006-2007 season is the highest in one game for the Lady Bisons in the NCAA era. She has scored 771 points in her career with the Lady Bisons. Defensively, she has earned a reputation for her ability to steal the ball on a consistent basis. She has played in 112 games, starting 81 including all 27 in 2005-2006 and 29 in 2006-2007. A member of the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team Dana plans to graduate with degrees in accounting and marketing.

No. 44 Rachel Davis. A native of Hendersonville, Tenn., Rachel is the daughter of Amy and Peter Davis. Playing a post position Rachel has the knack for entering a game and making a difference in a short amount of time. In 2006-2007 she scored a career-high in points in a game with 16 against Gardner-Webb. Her career-high in rebounding was nine in the same season against Fisk. This season she has played in 22 games with one start. She has twice scored in double figures this season and led the Lady Bisons in scoring at the University of Hawaii. A member of the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team Rachel plans to graduate with a degree in marketing.

No. 55, Kaleigh Gossman: Has been one of the leaders for the Lady Bisons on a number of levels. She is native of Newburgh, Ind.. Kaleigh is the daughter of Jan and Dave Gossman. Kaleigh bounced back this season to play in 23 games, 21 as a starter at the post position, after sitting out the 2006-2007 season as a medical red-shirt. Kaleigh has 313 career rebounds, eighth best for the Lady Bisons in the NCAA era. Kaleigh scored a career-high 18 points against Kennesaw State during the 2005-2006 season. She posted 11 rebounds, a career game-high, several times in her career. This season she has led the Lady Bisons in scoring once with 17 points at Mercer. Kaleigh has led the Lady Bisons in rebounds once this season and tied for the lead twice. Kaleigh was a member of the Atlantic Sun All-Freshman Team for the 2004-2005 season. A member of the Atlantic Sun All-Academic Team Kaleigh plans to graduate with a degree in biochemistry.

No. 24, Catie Woods: She is a native of Lawrenceburg, Tenn. She is the daughter of Denise and Sammy Woods. A leader on and off of the court Woods has been the point guard for the Lady Bisons for most of her career. She is in the top 10 in career scoring for the Lady Bisons with 773 for her career. The assists leader for the Lady Bisons with 54 this season she is third overall on the team in career assists with 240 in the NCAA era. One of only two players to start every game this season, Catie ranks in the top 15 in the Atlantic Sun Conference overall in both 3-point field goal percentage and 3-point field goals made. During the 2006-2007 season she ranked in the top 20 nationally in both 3-point field goals made and 3-point field goal percentCatie has led the Lady Bisons in scoring in two games with 16 points against both Gardner-Webb and Campbell on the road in back-to-back games this season.. She has tied for the scoring lead once and also tied for the lead in rebounding in one game with six. She twice set a career scoring high for a game during the 2006-2007 season with 22 points in two games with ETSU. Catie is tied for third in the Lady Bisons record in assists in a game with nine at Stetson during the 2004-2005 season. Catie plans to graduate with a degree in exercise science.
