Bartsokas repeats as District 4 First Team All-Academic
Lipscomb Lady Bisons’ senior guard Jenna Bartsokas has been named to the 2010-2011 Capital One Academic All-District 4 Basketball First Team as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).

Bartsokas, from Franklin, Tenn., has a 3.95 grade point average with a major in Exercise Science.

District 4 includes the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Michigan and Ohio.

She was one of only two Atlantic Sun players to receive district honors. Junior Courtney Chihil was named All-District 3 First Team.

Last season Bartsokas became the first Lady Bisons’ basketball player to earn first team honors on the district level.

Bartsokas has started every game this season. She leads the team in numerous categories including points (356), points per game (15.5), field goals made (5.0), field goals attempted (14.5), free throws made (3.6) and assists (2.9).

In order to be eligible a student-athlete must be a starter or important reserve with at least a 3.30 cumulative grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) and participated in at least 50 percent of his or her team’s games.
