Inside the Herd: Sara Bliss

Why did you choose Lipscomb?

I chose Lipscomb because of the close-knit community feel of the campus. I also chose Lipscomb because it is close to my home. I love the fact that I get to see my family and they can come to my games.

What is your favorite thing about Nashville?

My favorite thing about Nashville is that there is always something to do here. There are free concerts basically every weekend somewhere in the city. I also like the vibe and the feel of the city.

What do you want to do after college?

I'm not sure what I am going to do after college. I hope to get a job I enjoy doing and that will help people in some way.

Who do you look up to most and why?

I look up to a lot of people. I look up to and respect basically everyone in my family. They have always been there for me and supported me in everything I have done. They have shaped me into the person I am today.

Favorite Bible verse

I don't have a specific verse I like the most, but Luke 6:41 has been stuck in my mind lately. That verse just always reminds me that I don't need to be so quick to judge people because I am nowhere near perfect.

If someone played you in a movie, who would it be?

I would choose my sister Katie to play me in a movie. She is not a famous actress or anything, but she is talented and hilarious so I think she would be able to handle that task. If I had to choose a famous actress, I would choose Reese Witherspoon.

What is something interesting about you that a lot of people probably do not know?

One thing people don't know about me is that I like to bake desserts.

What do you like to do to get yourself prepared for a game?

I have a pre-game routine I have to go through before each game. I am very superstitious so if I miss a step in the routine, I have to start over from the beginning. I also try to be the first one on the court before games so I can get up a few more extra shots.

What is your favorite place to eat in Nashville?

There are so many great restaurants in Nashville that I can't choose just one.
