Brown signs Meade County standout Morgan Turner

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb women’s basketball team and coaching staff welcome a new addition to the Lady Bisons squad by signing Meade County High School senior forward Morgan Turner.

“Morgan comes from a very competitive background in both high school and AAU,” said Lipscomb head women’s basketball coach Greg Brown. “Her desire to compete with her skill level and size is what we first saw. But Morgan brings all the intangibles that we want and need in our program.”

Turner, a 6-foot-2-inch Miss Kentucky Basketball candidate, is the all-time leading rebounder at MCHS and edges closer to becoming the school’s all-time leading scorer.

The Guston, Kentucky native is the only player in school history, boy or girl, to exceed 1,000 rebounds and 2,000 points in her career.

As a junior, Turner averaged 19 points and nine rebounds per game while leading the Lady Wave to the school’s first-ever Sweet Sixteen appearance in more than 20 years.
