MACON, Ga. - After helping lead the Lady Bisons to two conference wins, sophomore Danay Fothergill has been named the Atlantic Sun Conference Player of the Week for the second time in her career.
Fothergill averaged 20.5 points, 6.5 rebounds, 4.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game during the week. She also shot 70.6 percent from the field, 69.2 percent from behind the arc and 80 percent from the free throw line.
Against the Dolphins on Thursday, Fothergill scored 16 points, including going 4-5 from three-point range, and added four rebounds and four assists.
In the victory over the Ospreys on Saturday, Fothergill notched 25 points, nine rebounds and five assists, leading the Lady Bisons in all three categories.
Fothergill previously won the award in January of her freshman season after averaging 29.5 points per game against the same opponents she faced this week.
The Lady Bisons return to action Thursday night hosting Florida Gulf Coast at 6:30.
