Women's hoops take on Hatters of Stetson

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lady Bisons will be facing one of the Atlantic Sun’s top teams for the second game in a row as they take on Stetson in Allen Arena Saturday night.

After losing to Florida Gulf Coast 71-49 on Thursday, Lipscomb (8-12, 3-3) is looking to get back on track against the Hatters (15-4, 4-2). The two teams have met 22 previous times, with Stetson leading the overall series 15-7. Their last meeting produced a 112-88 victory for the Hatters at the Edmunds Center.

The Lady Bisons loss to FGCU on Thursday ended a three-game A-Sun winning streak for the team. Ashley Southern notched the sixth double-double of the season and 27th of her career. She led the team in scoring (12) and rebounds (10) in the contest. Freshman Emily Eubank tied her career high with 11 points, and Alex Banks added 10.

In Stetson’s last outing, Northern Kentucky defeated the Hatters 68-62 on Thursday. Myeisha Hall led the team in scoring with 17. Stetson has four players with double-figures in scoring. Brianti Saunders leads the way with 13.6 points per game, followed by Hall, Amber Potter and Jama Sharp at 13.2, 13.0 and 12.9 respectively.

  • Danay Fothergill’s 43.9 three-point field goal percentage places her second in the A-Sun and 18th in the country. She only trails Whitney Knight of FGCU in the conference.
