Women's hoops continues road trip at FGCU

FORT MYERS, Fla. – For the second game in a row, the Lady Bisons will be taking on one of the Atlantic Sun’s top teams, Florida Gulf Coast, on Saturday night in Fort Myers.

Despite a record-setting performance from Chandler Cooper, Lipscomb (8-15, 3-6) lost to Stetson on Thursday night 103-75 for their fourth straight loss.  Cooper scored 24 points in the game, and made a team record eight three-pointers. She tied her own Lipscomb high in the category that she previously shared with current assistant coach Anna Bowers.

Danay Fothergill put together a solid all-around game with 15 points, five rebounds and five assists. Sara Bliss and Ashley Southern added 14 and 13 points respectively.

In their most recent outing, FGCU defeated Northern Kentucky 75-47 at home for their 17th straight win. Four Eagles scored in double-figures in the win. Whitney Knight led the way with 20, Stephanie Haas and Kaneisha Atwater scored 13 and Taylor Gradinjan added 11. Knight (15.2), Atwater (13.7) and Haas (10.0) all average in double-figures for the season.
