Women's basketball's Brown to speak at coaches clinic

NASHVILLE - Women's basketball head coach Greg Brown will be speaking at the Southeast Tennessee Coaches Clinic on Saturday, Sept. 5th.

"I am excited about participating in the clinic," Brown said. "It's good to be around coaches from all over the Southeast."

The clinic is presented by Rick Torbett and the Better Basketball Family, a crew of basketball teachers who travel around the United States putting on basketball coaching clinics.

"Rick does a great job of teaching people the game of basketball," Brown said. "He and his team have a great passion for the game. It's great to get to share with all of the coaches involved."

In the past year, the Better Basketball Family has held clinics in California, Washington D.C., Georgia, Texas, Wisconsin and Illinois.

At the clinic, Brown will be presenting on the motion principles and skills of the motion offense.

The Southeast Tennessee Coaches Clinic takes place at Hixson High School in Chattanooga and will last from 8 a.m. to 3:35 p.m. Brown will be speaking from 10:40-11:40.
