Women's hoops raises the roof on day five in Nicaragua

So far, we’ve had just about nothing but full days. This group has laughed together, cried together, and we have certainly thought about many a thing. Every night this group has been left on empty, and we wouldn’t want it any other way.

Today we went around a couple communities to assist in more roofing projects. We were able to accomplish a lot despite a little bit of rain that came through. We also helped with a few more feeding programs around lunch time. After we were done working, we couldn’t finish the day without playing some sports with the kids of course. Tonight we returned back for dinner and devo.

Tonight’s devo was another raw and powerful time of sharing among the team. Walls are continuing to be broken down, and they are all building each other up. We have truly seen glimpses of God’s kingdom this week. The unfortunate thought that keeps crossing my mind tonight, is that tomorrow is our last full day.

Even though we are running on empty, are hearts are so full. I don’t think any of us are prepared to leave these people that we love so much. As bitter as this realization is, it is a reminder of why we come here: to build these kind of long lasting relationships. We plan on taking advantage of every single minute tomorrow.
