LakePoint, Ga. – Lipscomb women’s basketball senior Loren Cagle was unanimously voted to the ASUN Preseason All-Conference team by the league’s coaches, as announced by the ASUN on Wednesday.
Cagle is the only returning player in the conference to finish in the top-22 for points (8.9), rebounds (5.2), assists (5.9), steals (1.4), and blocks (0.4).
She led the ASUN in assists per game, dished out 4 or more assists 15 times, grabbed more rebounds per game than any other guard in the conference, and led the team in rebounds seven times.
On defense, the point guard notched three or more steals or blocks on five different occasions.
Prior to last season, Cagle was named to the Nancy Lieberman Award watch list. The award is handed out annually to the nation’s best point guard.
Cagle leads a veteran-heavy Bisons squad as seven seniors return for Lipscomb this fall.
The Purple and Gold will kick off their season on Nov. 10 on the road at College of Charleston.
