Cagle earns first career ASUN Player of the Week

LakePoint, Ga. – Lipscomb women’s basketball senior Loren Cagle has been the named ASUN Player of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.

The win is the first in her career and the first for the women’s basketball program since 2015.

The point guard led the Lady Bisons in points, rebounds, and assists in each of the opening weekend games to earn the honor.

During a 58-54 win over Charleston Southern, she notched 20 points, seven rebounds, five assists, and two steals, and scored the game-winning basket with just one minute remaining in the contest.

In the opening day loss to College of Charleston, Cagle added 16 points, six rebounds, six assists, one steal, and one block.

She is currently second place in the ASUN in points (18.0) and assists (5.5) per game. She is also seventh in rebounds at 6.5 per contest.

Cagle and the rest of the Lady Bisons will be back on the court Wednesday night at Ball State at 6 p.m.
