LakePoint, Ga. – For the second time in her career and this season, Lipscomb women’s basketball senior point guard Loren Cagle has been named the ASUN Player of the Week, as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.
Cagle earned the award after a stellar performance on Thursday in a 61-57 win over Tennessee Tech.
After setting a career-high with 28 points during her previous outing against Saint Louis, Cagle once again led the way for the Lady Bisons with 27 points on 11-21 shooting.
It was her third 20-point game of the season, and he she has scored in double-figures in all but one game on the year.
She also added four rebounds, three assists, and two steals to round out her solid all-around performance.
The Nashville native has grabbed four or more rebounds and dished out three or more rebounds in all but two games so far this season.
Cagle currently ranks second in the ASUN in points (16.6), assists (4.2), and minutes per game (36.0). She leads the team in each of those categories, as well as rebounds (4.6) and steals (1.8) per contest.
Cagle and the rest of the Lady Bisons will return to action after Christmas break with back-to-back matchups at Vanderbilt on Dec. 28 and at home against Alabama A&M on Dec. 29.
