Cagle earns program-record fourth ASUN Player of the Week

LakePoint, Ga. – Lipscomb senior Loren Cagle has been named the ASUN Player of the Week, setting a program record with her fourth win of the season, as announced by the league offices on Tuesday.

Cagle averaged 19.0 points, 8.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 2.5 steals across two Lady Bison wins to break her Lipscomb career ASUN weekly awards tie with Ashley Southern and Courtney Boynton.

During Saturday’s 66-58 win over NJIT, she notched 22 points, 13 rebounds, six assists, and three steals, all of which were team highs.

In Thursday’s 97-78 victory over USC Upstate, Cagle added 16 points, three rebounds, four assists, and two steals.

The two wins place Lipscomb in fourth place and in line to host an ASUN Championship first round matchup.

Cagle currently leads the ASUN in scoring at 17.3 points per game, ranks first in total assists and second in assists per game (4.1), is seventh in rebounding (5.8), third in steals (2.1), second in three-point percentage (.393), and third in minutes (36.3).

The Lady Bisons will be back on the court Wednesday for a 6 p.m. road game at USC Upstate.
