Billy Snell enters his 18th year as an assistant on Frank Bennett's staff.
He is responsible for academic progress, guard play, individual workouts and is the Lady Bisons recruiting coordinator.
"Billy is a tremendous asset to our program on and off the floor," said Lady Bisons head coach Frank Bennett. "He is involved in all aspects of our program. He has an excellent knowledge of the game and relates well to our players. He does a great job working with our guards, in teaching defense, and in preparing to defend our opponents."
"Off the floor he does a lot of our design work. He does a great job working directly with our alumni and our Lady Bison advisory council. Through 18 years of working with the program he knows exactly what will benefit our players and our program."
A 1993 business management graduate, he worked in the construction business before returning to school for a teaching degree in health and physical education.
He earned a Master's degree from Lipscomb in 1999.
Prior to taking a full-time position with the Lady Bisons coaching staff, Snell spent two years as a graduate assistant.
Coach Snell enjoys fishing, playing the guitar and listening to classic country music. He lists George Jones and Hank Williams Sr. as two of his favorite singers. He is also a big fan of the Andy Griffith Show and any movie starring John Wayne. He also works a large vegetable garden each summer.
