Brentwood Academy Standout Signs With Lady Bisons

Paige Griffin, a cross country and track standout at Brentwood Academy, has signed to be part of the Lipscomb University programs under the direction of Coach Clay Nicks.

In cross country Griffin was a four-year member of the All-Midstate Team and a two-year member of the TSSAA All-State Team. In 2004 she was part of the school's TSSAA State Championship Cross Country Team. The team was second in the state in 2001 and 2003.

In track she was the 4 x 8 State Champion and member of the 2004 runner-up State Championship team.

"Paige's athletic success merely reflects her strength of character and selfless humble approach to life," said Cathy Cheeseman, her high school coach. "She leaves her friends a legacy of commitment, sacrifice and leadership. Her years of dedication to her team have garnered her many individual accomplishments and have contributed to the success of her team."

Paige is the daughter of Stefanie and John Griffin of Franklin.

She was also recruited by Rhodes College and Furman University.

"I chose Lipscomb for the high academic standards, Christian principles and the quality of the athletics programs," Griffin said
