The women's cross country team finished second in their third meet at Percy Warner Park Saturday morning.
Susan Worden placed first for the team again with a 5K time of 19:18.
Elizabeth Schall and Samantha Wood remained close behind finishing only one second apart at 9th and 10th and sophomore Carolyn Latham scored for the first time this season with a time of 20:24 placing four of our runners in the top 20. Also scoring were freshman Shannon Shoemake who finished in 21 minutes and sophomore Erin Pyles two places behind in 21:09.
Rounding out the race was Paige Griffin (21:16) and Julie Alley (21:28) in 28th and 29th, Paloma Floden in 32nd (21:36), Amanda Tanner in 35th (21:49), Rachel Snider in 38th (21:57), and Anna Day in 40th (22:32).
Host Vanderbilt University came in 1st and Union and Tennessee Tech trailed Lipscomb in 3rd and 4th.
There were 72 runners competing this week.
