Lady Bisons finish fourth in Evansville Invitational

The Lady Bisons cross country team finished fourth out of 11 teams in the University of Evansville Invitational Saturday morning in Evansville, Ind.

Samantha Wood was the top runner for the Lady Bisons with a time of 18:12.4 in the five-kilometer run, fifth place overall.

Also in the top 20 for the Lady Bisons were Susan Worden in 11th (18:45.2) and Elizabeth Schall in 20th (19:21.2).

Carolyn Latham was 27th (19:40.4), Paige Griffin was 33rd (19:48.8), Shannon Shoemake was 34th (19:52.2) and Amanda Tanner was 37th (20:02.6).

Rounding out the finishers for Lipscomb were Julie Alley in 54th (20:29.3), Paloma Floden in 58th (20:37.6), Erin Pyles in 69th (21:16.4) and Anna Day in 78th (21:45.9).

There were 97 runners in the event.

Belmont won the team honors followed by Creighton and Southeast Missouri State. Finishing behind the Lady Bisons were Murray State (fifth), Evansville (sixth), Marian College (seventh), Tennessee Tech (eighth), Tennessee-Martin (ninth), Vincennes (10th) and St. Louis College of Pharmacy (11th).
