"Today was another learning experience," Bill Taylor, director of cross country and track and field, said. "Not exactly what we wanted to accomplish for the men or the women. However, we had some good things happen too.

"We are still growing and learning what we can be."

The men’s team finished 43rd overall and was led by freshman Juan Gonzalez with a 127th place finish in 24:48.58. Fellow freshman Christian Freeman crossed the line in 169th place in 25:02.12.

Lipscomb also sent a contingent of runners to the Frontrunner Invitational hosted by Chattanooga. Freshman Alex Tate finished 23rd in women’s two mile run in 12:05.56. Freshman Taylor Romine crossed the line just behind in 26th in 12:11.28.

Lipscomb returns to its home course on Nov. 2 for the Atlantic Sun Championships. The Lady Bisons will be looking for their third-straight title while the men, ranked second in the A-Sun Coach’s Poll, will look to become first time A-Sun Champions.
