XC/TF's Kemper earns ASUN Postgraduate Scholarship

LakePoint, Ga. – Recently gradated cross country and track and field student-athlete Kacey Kemper was awarded one of two ASUN Postgraduate Scholarships at the 2018 ASUN Spring Meeting Awards Banquet on Wednesday night.

Kemper joined Jacksonville’s Mrabure Ejuroghene as the recipients of the 2018 honor.

During her four years as a Bison, Kemper racked up a slate of accolades during her time as a both on and off the track.

Between her stints with the cross country and track and field squads, she accumulated:

  • Six All-Academic nods
  • Six All-Conference spots
  • Two individual conference championships
  • The 2017 ASUN Most Outstanding Outdoor Track Performer honor
  • Two ASUN Runner of the Week awards
  • One Academic All-American spot
  • And an appearance at the 2017 NCAA Outdoor National Championship Prelims.

The Washington native completed her undergrad degree in May with a perfect 4.0 GPA as a Biology major.

This is the second year in a row that a Lipscomb track and field/cross country student-athlete has earned the ASUN’s Postgraduate Scholarship after Barbara Lee Ball took home the honor in 2017.
