Lady Bisons golf fired a 308 to defeat TSU on Friday

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team got its spring season off to a great start on Friday when it defeated Tennessee State 308-326 at the McCabe Golf Course.

Senior captain MacKenzy Carter finished as the medalist after firing an even-par 71. Her round included a scorching three-under-par 32 on the back nine holes.

Savanna Schubert shot a two-over 73 while Miriam Parker scored a 77.

After finishing the fall with the team’s lowest stroke average, junior Sami Khan carded an 87.

Sabrina Ferreri rounded out the Lady Bisons with an 89.

Lipscomb defeated the Lady Tigers by 34 strokes (327 – 361) in October when the two teams last met.

The Lady Bisons are off until March 3-4 when they will tee it up in the Murray State Invitational in Murray, Ky.
