Rain halts play for women's golf in A-Sun Championship

JEKYLL ISLAND, Ga.Round two for the Lipscomb women’s golf team in the 2014 Atlantic Sun Women's Golf Championship has been suspended due to inclement weather at Pine Lakes Golf Course on Jekyll Island, Ga.

The Lady Bisons were able to finish anywhere from five to eight holes before play was suspended.

Miriam Parker and MacKenzy Carter had the lowest rounds of the day going for Lipscomb, with each sitting at two-over par after five and six  holes of play.

Sami Khan was playing much better in round two and finished seven holes at three-over par.

Savanna Schubert and Sarah McFarlin was four-over and seven-over par respectively.

Mercer entered the suspension still in the driver’s seat, leading the field by four strokes.

Day three of the 2014 Atlantic Sun Women's Golf Championship will begin at 7 a.m. with the conclusion of second round. The third and final round will follow immediately.
