McGee wins CoSIDA District writing award

Mark McGee, director of media relations for athletics at Lipscomb University, has won a district award in the 2005 College Sports Information Directors Association (CoSIDA) Fred Stabley Sr. Writing Contest.

McGee won third place in District IV in the "General Features" category for his story "The Game of Love" which told of the engagement of former Lipscomb golfer Lisa Renneke and Nashville Predators hockey player Scott Hartnell.

District IV consists of all colleges and universities in the states of Tennessee, Alabama, Kentucky, Ohio and Michigan.
