HOPKINSVILLE, Ky. – Continuing the 2011 fall slate, the Lipscomb women’s golf team finished eighth behind a 628 team score in the 36-hole F&M Bank APSU Intercollegiate hosted at the Links at Novadell.

Sophomores Savannah Schubert and MacKenzy Carter led the way for the Lady Bisons as the duo tied for 22^nd in the event with each scoring a +9 (153).  Freshman Danielle Grace finished tied for 44^th with a + 14 (158).  Sabrina Ferreri and Sarah McFarlin rounded out the competitors for Lipscomb with Ferreri placing 55^th (+20, 164) and McFarlin finishing right behind tied for 56^th (+21, 165).

Jacksonville State’s Lourdes Lopez earned medalist honors in the event with a -5 (139) finish.  Her effort was not enough to propel the Gamecocks to a team win however, as Murray State edged JSU by four strokes finishing with a 584 team score.

The Lady Bisons return to fall play on Nov. 7 in the “Holiday Inn Express Hatter Classic” in DeLand, Fla.
