Parker named women's golfer A-Sun  Player of the Week

MACON, GA.- Lipscomb women’s golfer Miriam Parker was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Week after firing a two-round total of 144 (+2) in the Charles Braun Jr. Intercollegiate earlier this week.

Parker was named medalist for the first time in her career and helped the Lady Bisons to a second place finish.

In the first round Parker fired a one-under par 70. Her score was the lowest of the day and second lowest of the tournament.

On day two, Parker had an unfortunate mishap and grounded her club in a hazard, but still found a way to fire a three-over par 74.

Parker’s two rounds were her two lowest rounds of the fall.

It was her second top-10 finish of 2013. She finished tied for sixth with a 78-81 in the SIUE Intercollegiate in Sept.

Parker lowered her stroke average to 79.6 after nine rounds of play.
