Women's golf in 35th after two days of Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Classic

KIAWAH ISLAND, S.C. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team completed day two of the Edwin Watts/Kiawah Island Spring Challenge in 35th place after 36 holes.

The Lady Bisons head into Tuesday’s final round at +78, 654 after firing a 330 on Monday in the Palmetto State.  Coastal Carolina and host College of Charleston sit tied atop the leaderboard at +13.

Herd Notes:

  • Samantha Griffith continues to lead the Lady Bisons as the sophomore is tied for 49th with a +9, 153 (76, 77).
  • Miriam Parker is tied for 105th with a +13, 157 (77, 80)
  • Charley Benefield sits tied for 197th behind a +30, 174 (89, 85)
  • Ashton Martin ranks 201st at +32 after firing a pair of 88’s
  • Lily McDonald is just one stroke behind Martin with a +33, 177 (83, 94)
  • Lipscomb will wrap up action in the 54-hole event on Tuesday.
