Palm trees by the Pacific awaits women's golf at Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational

KAILUA, Hawaii – The Lipscomb women’s golf team heads west to compete in the 2016 Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course in Kailua, Hawaii.

The 54-hole event will get underway on Tuesday afternoon at 1 p.m.

Herd notes:

  • The Lady Bisons will be competing in the Dr. Donnis Thompson Invitational for the fourth-straight season.
  • Joining Lipscomb in the event will be host Hawaii, Fresno State, Gonzaga, Hawaii-Hilo, Idaho, Illinois, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Osaka Gakuin, Pepperdine, Portland State, Texas, Texas A&M, UMKC and UTEP.
  • Tuesday’s forecast calls for a high of 80 degrees with an 80 percent chance of scattered thunderstorms.
  • The Kaneohe Klipper Golf Course will play par 72 at 6,099 yards.
