Griffith and Muesing lead women's golf in tri-match

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team teed off against Belmont and Tennessee State in a tri-match on Friday at McCabe Golf Course in Nashville, Tennessee.

The Lady Bisons shot a +19, 307 to fall seven strokes short of Belmont, but easily topped TSU, who finished with a +65, 353.

Herd Notes:

  • Lipscomb was led by Samantha Griffith and Jenny Muesing, who finished tied atop the leaderboard with Belmont’s Abbie Gregory and Mallory Sullivan behind +2, 74s. The quartet did not break the tie in a playoff.
  • Charley Benefield finished 10th on the day with a +7, 79.
  • Lauryn Davidson was right on Benefield’s heels with a +8, 80 to finish tied for 11th.
  • Hillary Reader posted a 13th place finish just one stroke back of Davidson with a +9, 81.


Up next:  The Lady Bisons head to the Magnolia State on Oct. 10-11 to compete in the Golden Eagle Jam hosted by Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg.
