Davidson leads women's golf on day one at Golden Eagle Jam

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team opened action in the Golden Eagle Jam on Monday in ninth place after two rounds at the Hattiesburg Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.

Herd notes:

  • The Lady Bisons opened the 54-hole event with a +66, 642 (324-318).
  • Lauryn Davidson led Lipscomb with a +6, 150 (76-74) in 15th
  • Jenny Muesing ended the day tied for 44th with a +16, 160 (77-83).
  • Charley Benefield finished five strokes back of Muesing in a tie for 51st with a +21, 165 (86-79).
  • Ines Konschewitz posted a +23, 167 (85-82) in 53rd
  • Ashton Martin finished the day one place back of Konshewitz behind a +30, 174 (87-87)
  • Central Arkansas sits atop the leaderboard by two strokes over Murray State with a +9, 585 (292-293).
  • Central Arkansas’ Emma Svensson opened the day with a 67 before carding a 71 in the second round to lead the field with a -6, 138.
