Women's golf gets underway in 2017 Boston College Intercollegiate

CANTON, Mass. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team opened action in the 2017 Boston College Intercollegiate hosted at the Blue Hill Country Club in Canton, Massachusetts in 16th place o Sunday.

Herd notes:

  • The Lady Bisons ended the first day of action in the 2-day event with a +65, 641 (329-312).
  • Samantha Griffith led the way for Lipscomb with a +9, 153 (80-73) in a tie for 24th.
  • Charley Benefield finished just two stroked back of Griffith after carding a career best +4, 76 in the final round of the day. Benefield heads into Monday tied for 33rd with a +11, 155 (79-76).
  • Ines Konschewitz ended the day tied for 79th behind a +22, 166 (89-77).
  • Jenny Muesing finished right on Konschewitz’s heels with a +34, 167 (81-86).
  • Lauryn Davidson withdrew from action on Sunday due to illness.
  • Richmond leads the field by four strokes over Georgetown with a +16, 592 (301-291).
  • Elon’s Heather Munro and Boston College’s Bibilani Liu lead the field with even-par 144’s.
  • Lipscomb will get underway on Monday at 7:09 a.m.
