Women's Golf gears up for 24th Annual Saluki Invitational

NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s golf team returns to the links this weekend with a trip to Carbondale, Illinois for the 24th annual Saluki Invitational hosted by Southern Illinois Universtiy.

The one-day event will be played at the 6,017 yard, par-72 Hickory Ridge Golf Course.

All 36 holes will be played on Sunday after the officials decided to move the event to one day with inclement weather in the area. A shotgun start will be issued at 9 a.m.

Joining Lipscomb and Southern Illinois in the field is Austin Peay, Valparaiso, Chicago State, IUPUO, Fort Wayne, Tennessee State, John A Logan, Rend Lake, Lindenwood, Naval Academy, Loyola and individuals from Northwestern.

The Lady Bisons are coming off an 8th-place finish last weekend in the Bama Beach Bash. Junior Lauryn Davidson led the team with a three-day total of +28, 244.

Lipscomb will be back in action on April 6-7 in Murray, Kentucky at the Jan Weaver Invitational.
