Women's golf set to take on Jacksonville Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team will be taking on its second tournament of the fall campaign this week as the Lady Bisons are set to compete in the Bubba Burger Jacksonville Classic.

The event will take place on Monday and Tuesday at the Marsh Landing Country Club in Jacksonville, Florida and will consist of 54 holes (36 on Monday and 18 on Tuesday with shotgun starts). The course is a par-72 that covers 6,051 yards.

The field will consist of 13 teams: Coastal Carolina, College of Charleston, Daytona State, Florida Atlantic, Georgia Southern, Jacksonville, Jacksonville State, Lipscomb, North Florida, Nova Southeastern, Samford, Seminole State, USC Upstate.

The Lady Bisons completed their most successful tournament in recent memory in the season opener at the NKU Fall Classic. Lipscomb took third place overall with a score of +61, 913 (306-304-303).

Senior Lauryn Davidson led the Purple and Gold with a with a score of +12, 225 (78-77-70) to place in a tie for 12th overall.

Davidson, freshmen Sarah Hinton and Emily Keeling, sophomores Emma Wasson and KiLynn Gold, and senior Lily Caroline McDonald will once again be competing for Lipscomb.
