Women's golf finishes competition at Jacksonville Classic

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Lipscomb women’s golf team closed out the Bubba Burger Jacksonville Classic on Tuesday in 15th place.

The Lady Bisons shot a +103, 967 (326-310-331) in the 72-hole, two-day tournament.

Sophomore Emma Wasson led the way for Lipscomb with a score of +21, 237 (79-75-83). She finished in 64th place.

Freshmen Sarah Hinton (+23, 239) and Emily Keeling (+23, 241) were up not far behind as the duo place in a tie for 67th and a tie for 71st, respectively.

Senior Lauryn Davidson (+34, 250) and sophomore KiLynn Gold (+46, 262) rounded out the Lady Bisons five in 78th and 84th.  

Nova Southeastern took the team title with a score of +11, 875 (290-295-290), while Nova Southeastern’s Sophie Madden claimed the individual win with a -1, 215 (70-73-72) mark.

The Purple and Gold will be back in action on Oct. 15 and 16 at the Fred Marx Invitational hosted by the University of Louisiana-Monroe.
