Women's golf takes fourth at Town and Country Invite

NASHVILLE - The Lipscomb women’s golf team competed in Nashville for the only time this season on Monday and Tuesday as the Lady Bisons grabbed fourth place at the Town and Country Invitational hosted by Tennessee State at the McCabe Golf Course.

After two 18-hole rounds, Lipscomb finished with a team score of +36, 596 (297-299).

Senior Lauryn Davidson and freshman Sarah Hinton paced the Lady Bisons, finishing in a tie for 11th with a score of +7, 147. 

Davidson turned in a 75 in round one before posting a team-low 72 on Tuesday. Hinton shot rounds of 74 and 73.   

Sophomore Emma Wasson finished just one stroke behind after firing a +8, 148. Wasson carded rounds of 73 and 75. 

Freshman Emily Keeling was up next for Lipscomb, finishing in a tie for 24th with a score of +14, 154 (75-79).

Closing out Lipscomb’s starting five was KiLynn Gold, who finished 41st. The sophomore turned in at +26, 164 (82-84). 

Playing as an individual, senior Lily McDonald posted rounds of 81-83 to shoot +24, 164. She finished 40th.

Austin Peay won the team title with a score of +18, 578 (288-290). The Govs also had the individual champion. Reagan Greene won with a +1, 141 (69-72) total.

The Lady Bisons will close out the fall season with the Idle Hour Club Collegiate Championship hosted by Mercer on Nov. 5th and 6th.
