MURRAY, Ky. - The Lipscomb women's golf team heads to Murray, Kentucky to wrap up its spring regular season at the Jan Weaver Invitational, April 5-6.
The Bisons are coming off a 10th place finish at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational and are looking to end their regular season on a high note.
Freshman Sarah Hinton will head into the tournament with some momentum after finishing in a tie for ninth place in her last outing at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational. The Elizabethtown, Ky. native fired rounds of 77 and 74 for a total of 151 to record the first top-10 individual finish for the Bisons this spring. This was Hinton's second career top-10 finish.
Junior Rachael McMahan will be looking to finish in the top-25 for the third consecutive tournament. In her last outing at the French Broad Collegiate Invitational, McMahan finished in a tie for 21st at 157 with rounds of 79 and 78.
The Jan Weaver Invitational will be held at the Miller Memorial Golf Course, which will play as a par 72.
The 15-team field, which features six teams from the Ohio Valley Conference, will begin with an 8:00 a.m. shotgun start on Friday and play 36 holes. On Saturday, teams will start with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun, but play 18 holes to finish the tournament.
