Women's Golf Fifth After Day One At ASUN Championship

BRASELTON, Ga. - The Lipscomb women's golf team ended the day in fifth place after the first round of the ASUN Championship Sunday afternoon.

The Bisons carded a 341 18-hole total on the first day of competition. Kennesaw State is in first at 309.

Junior Rachael McMahan is the leader for the Purple and Gold after she carded an 80 in her first round. She is currently tied for 11th on the leaderboard.

Freshmen duo Emily Keeling and Sarah Hinton posted scores to put them in the top-25. Keeling fired an 85 which has her tied for 21st and Hinton is just one shot behind at 86 and is in 23rd.

Lipscomb will return to the links tomorrow for the second round and finish with the final round on Tuesday.
