What sport(s) did you play at Lipscomb? What years? Who were your coaches?
I played baseball from 1987-1990. I played for Ken Dugan and Al Austelle.
What is your fondest athletic memory at Lipscomb?
My fondest memory is my first pitching win at Birmingham-Southern my freshman year.
Who had the biggest influence on you during your athletic career at Lipscomb? How?
My father (Vic Harvey) was the biggest influence on me during my time at Lipscomb. He encouraged me to attend a Christian University and supported me during some rough patches during my 4 years at Lipscomb.
What is your fondest non-athletic memory from your time at Lipscomb?
The friendships I developed living on the seventh floor of High Rise dorm.
What is the most valuable thing you gained or learned from your time at Lipscomb?
I had an opportunity to play baseball in the SEC, but my father encouraged me to attend David Lipscomb. I now understand why he wanted me to attend Lipscomb. The Christian education I received and the relationships I developed while at Lipscomb are greater than any experience I would have had at an SEC school.
Who was your favorite professor? Why?
Dr. Kent Johnson. I developed a passion for health and fitness because of his teachings and encouragement. I live that passion each day.
Where do you live now?
Who is your employer? What is your occupation? What does your position entail?
I am the owner of Stronghold Fitness in Murfreesboro. I am a personal trainer and Russian kettlebell instructor. I also do some work as a personal trainer at the Green Hills YMCA in Nashville.
