The Lipscomb (2-0-2) women’s soccer team put together another shutout in the 3-0 win over Jacksonville State (1-2) at home. The Lady Bisons have now gone 400 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal to start the season.
Lipscomb women’s soccer is looking to extend its unbeaten streak heading into Sunday’s home game against the Jacksonville State Gamecocks. The Lady Bisons have gone 310 consecutive minutes without allowing a goal to start the season, the first A-Sun team to do so since 2011.
Lipscomb (1-0-2) women’s soccer continued its unbeaten, unscored on beginning to the season with a 0-0 overtime draw against the Cincinnati Bearcats (1-1-1). It was the second overtime match in the first three games of the season for the Lady Bisons.
The Lipscomb women’s soccer team will be travelling to Cincinnati for a matchup with the Bearcats on Thursday. The meeting will be the first between the two squads since Lipscomb joined Division I.
For the second time in her Lipscomb career, Anna Buhigas has earned the Atlantic Sun Defensive Player of the Week award. Buhigas opened up the season with a six save, two overtime shutout in a scoreless draw against Tennessee.
