Lady Bisons drop 2-0 decision at Tennessee Tech

The Lady Bisons soccer team played its last road game of the season Wednesday afternoon, losing 2-0 at Tennessee Tech in Cookeville.

The Lady Bisons gave up one goal in the first half when Lia Digrappa scored at 22:36. Tech stuck again at 89:20 of the second half when Ashley Smith scored.

Lipscomb goalkeeper Katie Shelton made five saves. Tennessee Tech attempted 17 shots with seven shots on goal.

Tennessee Tech goalkeeper Kaitlyn Thacker also made five saves. The Lady Bisons made nine shot attempts. They had five shots on goal. Sarah Brummett led in both shots and shots on goal with three each for the Lady Bisons.

The Lady Bisons are 4-12-3 overall. Tennessee Tech is 5-13-1 overall.

Friday night at 6 the Lady Bisons close out the regular season against Murray State.

It is also “Senior” Night with record-setting goalkeeper Katie Shelton and midfielder Sara Green being honored.
