Sophomore Danielle Bethke scored her first two career goals Thursday evening in Lipscomb’s 3-2 loss at Campbell.
Campbell got on the board early with a goal by Olga Ekblom 33 seconds into the game and took a 2-0 lead on a goal by Kaili Terry in the 7th minute.
Bethke found an open route to the goal just before halftime after the defense cleared a free kick.
Bethke tied the game 2-2 on a goal assisted by Kate Spellman in the 58th minute off a corner kick.
Campbell’s Marisa Muller scored the go-ahead goal in the 77th minute on a free kick.
Campbell distanced the Lady Bisons attempting 18 shots to Lipscomb’s 6.
Lipscomb drops to 2-7 (0-1 A-Sun) while Campbell improves to 6-4 (1-0 A-Sun).
The Lady Bisons host Belmont at the Lipscomb Soccer Complex Tuesday evening at 7 p.m.
