NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After picking up its first win of the 2013 season, the Lipscomb women’s soccer makes the short drive to Murfreesboro to face Middle Tennessee State Friday at 7 p.m.

Freshman Ellen Lundy led the Lady Bisons to a 10-0 victory over Alabama A&M as she posted a hat trick in just her second collegiate game. Junior Baylee Linnell tacked on two goals.

Lundy leads the Atlantic Sun in goals and points after the first week of action.

MTSU is beginning its first year in Conference USA after winning the Sun Belt Conference title a year ago. In one game this year, MTSU played to a 0-0 tie with UT-Martin. Kate Loye was the top goal-scorer a year ago. She posted seven goals and six assists while winning Sun Belt Freshman of the Year honors.

Amalie Anderdal led the Blue Raiders with five shots, four on goal, against UT-Martin. Goalkeeper Kelsey Brouwer made eight saves.

Lipscomb and MTSU have not met since the 2006 season. The Lady Bisons are 0-4-1 all-time against the Blue Raiders, with the tie coming in 2005.

Friday’s contest ends a three-game roadtrip to begin the season for Lipscomb. The Purple and Gold begin a five-game homestand Monday, hosting UT-Martin at 7 p.m.
