Lipscomb University Lady Bisons soccer coach Jenger Parrish has announced the signing of Jennifer Jacobs from La Crosse, Wisc.

Jacobs, a 5-foot-6 midfielder-forward, was a first team WIAA Mississippi Valley All-Conference selection for the 2003, 2004 and 2005 seasons as a player for Aquinas High School. She was a La Crosse Tribune Athlete of the Week selection in 2004. Her high school team made the state Final Four in 2003, the Final Eight in 2004 and state runner-up in 2005. She also served as team captain for 2006.

"Jennifer has excellent skills with a great first touch," said P. Michael Jacobs, her high school coach. "She plays extremely well with her back to the goal. She finds targets and distributes the ball well. She knows how to finish."

Jacobs plans to major in Spanish-Elementary Education.

"Lipscomb allows me to play soccer at a university with a solid Christian foundation," said Jacobs. "Academically, Lipscomb offers my desired major. And I am looking forward to playing under the direction of Coach Parrish."

Jennifer is the daughter of Susan and Dr. P. Michael Jacobs.
