Tullahoma's Quandt signs to play soccer for Lipscomb

Lipscomb University Lady Bisons soccer coach Jenger Parrish has announced the signing of Emily Quandt from Tullahoma, Tenn.

Quandt, 5-foot-5, was a four-year starter at Tullahoma High School. She served as captain of the team her senior year.

She helped lead Tullahoma to the TSSAA Final Four in 2002 and 2005. They were the state runners-up in 2002.

Quandt won the team's defensive award in 2004 and 2005. She was also a first-team All-District selection in 2005.

In club soccer her team was a state champion on both the Division III and Division II levels. They were also Division I runners-up.

Quandt is a member of the National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta and Zeta Chi. She was vice-president of Zeta Chi. She was also a member of the Mid-State Honor Choir all four years of high school. She was named "Most Versatile" superlative by her classmates.

"All-around Lipscomb was the best fit for me," said Quandt. "I know that it is a strong Christian college, and that is very important to me. I know that will be able to excel there."

She is the daughter of Sharron Hofer and Donald Quandt. She plans to major in business.
