The Lady Bisons were out shot 22-1, but still managed to only lose 1-0 in the first Atlantic Sun Conference game of the season at Gardner-Webb University in Boiling Springs, N.C. Sasha Sack had the only shot for the Lady Bisons. They did not make a shot on goal. Gardner-Webb was credited with 10 shots on goal. Angie Harvey and Lindsey Gladhill each had three shots on goal. Gladhill posted a game-high seven shots on goal. Gladhill scored the game-winning goal with a quick kick to the lower left side of the goal on a pass from the corner by Bailey Stevens at the 14:26 mark of the first period. It was her fifth goal of the season. Lady Bisons goaltender Katie Shelton made nine saves. The Lady Bisons travel to Campbell Saturday for a 6 p.m. A-Sun game. |
